Two Interviews

By Joe Ponzio on May 18, 2009  |  9 comments

If you're more into video and audio than reading my long-winded blog posts, below are two interviews I did recently.

For my video lovers, here's a link to a TV interview I did on First Business. It aired nationally on Wednesday morning.

Below is another clip from WBBM's Noon Business Hour from May 12, 2009.

Great publicity, Joe. Congrats.

Just make sure when you make it big time to not forget the little people!

More importantly, make sure to remember to stay true to the philosophies that got you to where you will be!

Nice job on the interviews. I think W.E.B may be looking over his shoulder...

Thanks guys!

What really cracks me up is how the people who interview always try to ask the typical stock trader or speculator type questions and how you always "stay on message" like a politician with his talking points. "No, I don't know where the DOW will be a half hour from now", "No, I don't care what sector a company is in, I look at individual businesses", "No, I don't want to bet on whether GM will avoid bankruptcy or not, I'd rather go to the track and bet on a horse. At least I can enjoy some sunshine, fresh air and look at some wonderful horses as I watch my money go down the toilet". LOL.

@ Rene - and then the inevitable - "So give me some picks!" Fortunately, Joe obliged, or they would probably be in a huff thinking, "This guy won't tell me his picks!"

Nice interviews Joe, you even came across well on camera, just don't go become the next Jim Cramer!
It's fun to do these interviews, but the request for stock tips kills me, especially when I don't know when the program will air. The TV interview was taped in advance. For all I knew, I could have said, "Buy Wells Fargo" while I'm selling it!

I can't remember which post, but I saw you recently Joe post about buying stock in a coffee company because everyone would be drinking Folgers to stay awake if you had your own TV program. Thought this news article today was fitting.

Buy the rumor; sell the news. I guess the rumor that I was starting a TV show must have hit the street! :)

I think it got overheated. I still feel like it's a good long-term holding (if the buy price is right)....
