WBBM Noon Business Hour in Chicago

By Joe Ponzio on September 10, 2008  |  10 comments

On August 20, 2008, I was interviewed on WBBM-AM's Noon Business Hour here in Chicago. If you have been through the site, you won't find too much new here. We discuss Graham Corporation, Nutrisystem, Apple, Starbucks, and the overall markets and investing.

You can listen to the 5 minute 13 second clip below.

They'll never ask you back. No hot tips? No predictions of where the DJ will be next week? No simple formulas on how to beat the market. You are out of here!

Wow, I can't believe the questions they asked you. I guess I have really entered a new universe now that I am in the "value" camp. They don't even know what the word "value" means, it seems. Asking about P/Es? Value vs. Growth? I amazed that the Buffet/Graham approach is still such a secret, after such great results for so many people!

I guess, bottom line, good investing is more about a steady hand (and a steady heart) than anything else.

Hey, Joe, you sound like you are from the mid-west! And here I was thinking you were a reformed slick New Yorker. Shows me.

That's funny...and partially true. I hate being overcharged. Actually, I am Chicago - born and raised. Roots are southern Italy, but not Sicily:)

Hey Joe,

All my workout positions have been hammered today, I was wondering if you are still buying, or if the banks situation is a real risk to some of these deals going through.

My roots are in the small town of Peralta, Spain, south of Pamplona, where they run the bulls and happily get gored on a yearly basis...
