Hi JB,

Thanks for the correction. I am going off memory here. I know that he goes into a frenzy during the actual transactional phase of buying, but he mentioned (outside of the Q&A) how relaxed he is. Even when he is zeroing in on an opportunity, he barely smiles - until he starts the actual transaction.

Clearly, though, in response to your great question during the Q&A, Mohnish reminds us that volatility has nothing to do with owning $0.50 dollars.

Thanks for the post Joe. Good stuff, but one correction...

I was the one who asked the question to which MP answered, "My wife says I'm emotionless. To her that's a bad thing". The question asked was: "Can you paint a picture of the emotional experience you went through when the Pabrai funds dropped 40% in the Summer of '02."

On the subject of how he feels when he finds a great opportunity, MP said something to the effect that he gets into an orgasmic frenzy and wants to buy as much as he can...

Great post, Joe. Concept of paying 50 cents for a dollar is such a phenomenon that people either get it or they won't.
