Advertising Policies

Updated: June 11, 2010

We do not run this website as a profit machine. Instead, advertising on F Wall Street is sparingly allowed to help offset the cost of hosting, new features, and maintenance. For example, in June of 2010, F Wall Street contracted with a data provider for certain security data (such as CUSIPs and company names) to help visitors with their value investing research. Data fees are expensive; so, F Wall Street attempts to offset those costs with advertising revenue.

We do not accept money or other remuneration for any reviews of products or services.

F Wall Street authors are provided with one free advertisement (300×250) on their own profile pages.

Who Should Advertise on F Wall Street?

In the first five months of 2010 alone, F Wall Street enjoyed more than 1.3 million hits. That’s about 8,700 hits every day, or six hits every second. But don’t let the numbers fool you – we’re not in the business of selling ads. At F Wall Street, we’re in the business of providing value to our community. (That’s why, for the first three years, no advertising was allowed on F Wall Street.)

If you have a product or service that you believe would be beneficial to the F Wall Street community of value investors, you may submit an advertisement to be approved by the F Wall Street team. Every advertisement is subject to approval, and must meet the terms of our terms of use and privacy policy, as well as our subjective tests for relevancy and value. The decision to approve or deny any advertisement is solely that of the F Wall Street team.

In addition to approved advertisements, F Wall Street also displays advertisements through third-party advertising companies (such as Google) which are not specifically approved by us.
